13071OVA VA256-13-B-1063 Clinic Expansion
Mr. Eddie Cox serves as Project Manager. This project is to build an 8,100-SF 2nd floor expansion on top of a lower corner of an existing clinical addition, as well as a 16,000-SF remodel of the 1st and 2nd floor of the Oklahoma City VA Medical Center in Oklahoma City, OK. The complete scope of work includes construction of new spaces on the existing ground-floor roof to expand the 1st floor to the south, as well as expanding the 2nd floor out over the new 1st floor and existing roof areas to the south. Once the expansion is complete, the clinical department operations will relocate into the new space on the 1st floor. The vacated clinical spaces on the 1st floor will then renovate to provide expansion for several clinics and include construction of a new Cardiac Cath Lab. On the 2nd floor, the Radiology will move into the new spaces, and the vacated spaces will be remodeled to allow for the expansion of administrative and ancillary functions. This project was performed on an occupied building, which requires moving and relocating numerous sites and clinical departments, and a detailed Phasing and Sequencing Plan is critical in ensuring an efficient, organized and safe project completion.
