Design-Build
The hallmark of a Design-Build project is that only one organization is responsible to the owner for both the design and construction of the facility, which helps foster collaboration andfocus on the project objectives.
Since construction in the Design-Build project delivery method runs concurrently with the design process, your project can be completed more quickly than the traditional linear method or contracting offer. As drawings are developed, HGL serves as a single point of contact working with the designers to help define functional requirements, hone the budget, and streamline the schedule. Construction Management
When HGL provides Construction Management, we are selected based on project expertise, approach, staff qualifications, and track record of performance. General Contracting
At HGL, we have honed our expertise in the traditional General Contracting process for the past 17 years. Architecture
Design in much of the work we do doesn’t necessarily fall into physical features simply for aesthetic purposes. A wider view for us often includes the design of the total built environment, from the macro level of how a building integrates with its surrounding man made landscape (town planning, urban design, and landscape architecture) to the micro level of architectural or construction details and, sometimes, furniture. The creative organization of materials and components and dealing with mass, space, form, volume, texture, structure, light, shadow, materials, program, and pragmatic elements such as cost, construction limitations and technology, to achieve an end which is functional, economical, practical and often with artistic and aesthetic aspects. We also provide architectural services.
This distinguishes architecture from engineering design, which has as its primary object the creative manipulation of materials and forms using mathematical and scientific principles.
Demolition
HGL has limited capacity in this area, but combines experience, specialized equipment, technical expertise and modern safety techniques to get the job done professionally and safely. Demolition services provided alone or with a partner may include the following:
