Infantry Squad Battle Course

Quick Facts
Fort Sill, Oklahoma

USACE, Tulsa Discrict

HDR, Inc.

HGL Construction served as the prime contractor to construct a new Infantry Squad Battle Course (ISBC) and associated facilities. This project included the construction of a Range Operations Control (ROC) containing the following new, vertical structures: Covered Mess Building, Latrine Buildings, Ammo-Blank, Ammo-Live, Instruction Building, Operations Storage Building, Bleacher Enclosure, and Control Tower Structure. These facilities were constructed along a new, asphalt-paved road with one 20-space POV/Truck parking area and one 6-space Tactical Transport Vehicle parking area. A variety of bunkers and target emplacements were newly constructed and installed. Major scopes of work included civil, paving, concrete, structural steel, a pre-engineered metal building, mechanical, electrical, and general labor. Each of the vertical buildings and structures included interior and exterior finishes, interior metal-framed walls, gypsum wallboard, doors and hardware, lock and keys, signage, hardscape, sidewalks, access pathways, standing seam metal roofs, drainage gutters, and architectural features consistent with ISBC Facilities. All interior and exterior finishes were selected based on durability, functionality, maintainability, sustainability and energy efficiency. These new vertical building structures were equipped with mechanical, electrical and plumbing features, including ventilation, conditioned air, exhaust, power, lighting, telecommunication, security, domestic hot and cold water, sewer, and fire protection, detection, and suppression.
