Holy Temple Baptist Church

SQD Architects

HGL Construction served as the prime contractor to provide the Holy Temple Baptist Church with a new 6,700 square foot, pre-engineered metal building to serve as their new place of worship. Situated adjacent to their current church, the architectural pre-engineered metal building measures nearly 6,700 square feet and reaches nearly 28 feet tall, not including the pre-manufactured spire that sits atop the 4:12 metal roof ridge. Surrounding the church is an asphalt parking area, with 40 parking stalls, including two ADA stalls.

The interior space consists of a large sanctuary capable of seating between 147 and 163 people, a sound booth, a preaching platform, baptistry, three classrooms, men’s and women’s restrooms, kitchen, pastor’s office, conference room, work room and another general office. The three classrooms have operable partitions in between to open all three rooms into one large space, measuring almost 600 square feet.

  • Self-performed 20%, including drywall, doors and hardware, site supervision and project management

  • Coordinated with the City of Oklahoma City permit department to ensure permits were applied for and obtained in a timely manner to not impact the construction schedule

  • Performed work adjacent to an active church
