DESCRIPTION: 

HGL Construction served as the prime contractor on this highly-complex 44,444 square foot new construction project of a modified Type II High-Bay Hangar at Tinker AFB, OK, for NAVFAC Southeast. The new TACAMO (Take Charge and Move Out) hangar includes shop space, offices, restrooms, storage and maintenance work areas, and aircraft personnel staging and planning areas. The hangar, located on an active flight line and taxiway, required clearing and grubbing, site demolition, underground utility demolition, excavation and earthwork, new underground utilities (gas, power, water, telecommunication/data, storm sewer, and sanitary sewer), site grading, cast-in-place concrete foundation, structural steel, precast concrete wall panels, insulated metal wall panels, standing seam metal roof, EPDM roof, mechanical (HVAC and plumbing), electrical service, lighting, AFFF fire protection, fire alarm, mass notification system, Direct Digital Controls (DDC), interior finishes, painting, FF&E, airfield pavement, pavement and striping.
